Abstract Submission for Poster Guidelines

Information for Abstract Submission
  1. The abstract should be written in English
  2. All abstracts must be submitted in Microsoft word format and sent via email. Fax or postal submission will not be accepted. The decision of the Organising Committee is final. Incomplete abstract submission will not be accepted.
  3. Abstracts must be received by 11:59p.m (Malaysian time) on Sunday 31 July 2022. Late submissions will not be accepted.
  4. Title: Capitalised each word except prepositions (e.g. as, or, for, and, with).
  5. Author and co-authors: The first name is the presenting author. First name/middle name use initial, last name (surname) in full. Do not use titles (e.g. Dr) or degrees (e.g. MD). When more than one author are listed, use numbers to match authors and institutions.
  6. Affiliations: Department, institution/hospital/organisation. Do not include the address. Example:
    Clinical Research in Cardiology,
    A .W Mohamed1, K. Muthusamy2, C.L Tan3
    1Department of Cardiology. Hospital ABC.
    2Clinical Research Centre, Hospital ABC.
    3Department of Pharmacy, Hospital ABC
  7. Layout: The abstract must be in a single paragraph containing not more than 250 words (Tables or graphs allowed should not be included).
  8. The abstract text should have the following subheadings in bold:
    • Background
    • Materials/ Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusions
Notes
  1. Abstracts are subjected to approval by the scientific committee and will be accepted upon full registration of the author as a participant of the MPCS 2022
  2. Any abstract that has been presented orally or as a poster at previous national or international meetings in this or any other society will not be considered eligible for presentation at this meeting.
  3. Abstracts will be published exactly as submitted.
  4. The authors will receive the email notification of abstract acceptance/rejection via e-mail latest by 5th September 2022. The notification email will include information on the presentation date/time and venue
  5. The presenting authors must register for the congress before the deadline on 5th September 2022.

Information for Poster (Non-Moderated) and Moderated Poster Session
  • Poster abstracts will be presented using traditional flat board posters.
  • Prepare all materials in advance — include illustrations, charts, tables, drawings, etc. Please ensure these are simple and clear, with heavy lines and effective use of colour.
  • The poster must be readable from three feet away.
  • 6 of the best abstract submitted for poster presentation will be selected for the ‘Moderated Poster session’ and are eligible to win prizes.
  • Those 6 selected abstract do not need to prepare a printed poster. Presentation will consists of only one slide (pdf version of the poster).
  • For the ‘Moderated Poster session’, each presenter will be given 3 minutes for their presentation followed by a 2 minute Q&A.

e-Poster Presentation

  • Presentation in the Poster Session will be numbered as listed in the programme.
  • The top of the final poster must have a label indicating its title, author(s), and institutions. Title headings can be in all capitals or in `titlecase’.
  • Use attractive graphics, colour and fonts to highlight the main points of your study.  
  • Your poster must consist of only 1 slide and should be composed with digital technical requirements as specified below.

  • All poster file submission should be done through the presenting author’s account in the Congress website portal by 15th September 2022.
  • There will be an active `Question & Answer’ chat accessible to congress delegates and the presenter throughout the conference and for 2 weeks after the conference.
  • The shortlisted e-Posters for awards will be shown in the allocated Congress programme session. The shortlisted presenters will be subjected to 5 minutes of LIVE discussion with a panel of appointed judges.
